    Have made this recipe for years and it is so good. It is an all day deal. Loretta

    List of Ingredients




    4 pounds Corned Beef Brisket
    *** rinse and do NOT use the seasoning packet
    1/2 cup Onion, chopped
    2 cloves Garlic
    2 Bay leaves
    1 Head cabbage, cut into wedges
    Small red potatoes (a dozen or so), washed and cut in half

    Recipe



    Place corned beef in crockpot (fat side up) - barely cover
    with water. Add onion, garlic and bay leaves. Cover and cook on LOW for 9 hours.

    Pull out corned beef. Place in heavy duty foil, add a little juice, wrap and put in a pan. Put it in 300 degree oven.

    Turn crock pot on HIGH. Add potatoes to broth in crock pot. Cook on HIGH for 45 minutes. Add cabbage into potatoes and broth. Cover and cook 20 minutes. Remove and serve with corned beef, cut against the grain, or if very done, pull apart with a fork. If there are any leftovers, make home made corned beef hash with diced potatoes and corned beef the next morning; delicious!
