Spanish Rice

List of Ingredients
1 cup uncooked rice (not instant)
1-1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
3/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 16-oz. can tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery salt
1 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. pepper
8 oz. shredded cheese
Recipe
Add rice gradually to salted boiling water and cook until barely tender. Rinse in cold water and drain. Brown ground beef, onions, and green pepper in skillet. Add tomatoes (with their juice), salt, celery salt, sugar, and pepper. Simmer 20 minutes. Add to drained rice; add 1/2 of the cheese and mix well. Pour into a greased casserole, sprinkle with remaining cheese, and bake uncovered in a 350°F oven until heated, approximately 30 minutes. Let stand briefly before serving.
