Bacon Meatloaf

2 lb ground beef
2 t pepper
4 t Worcestershire sauce
1/2 lb bacon strips, cooked, crumbled
1/2 C finely chopped onion
1 t canola oil
1 t salt
2 t garlic powder
2 eggs, beaten
1 C breadcrumbs
1/2 C shredded carrot
Recipe
In a skillet, heat oil. Add carrot and onion, cook until tender. Cool slightly. In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, bacon, eggs, Worcestershire, spices and carrot mixture. Add beef, mix thoroughly. Shape into a loaf in an ungreased baking dish. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 90 minutes or until done. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serves 8.
