    Recipe Introduction

cookin gal 2/10/2001 10:05:05 PM Here's one I like. I love to put these in caramel corn or just as munchies at a party. The other one is one someone sent me and sounded good for appetizers also. I think what you would be interested in is the part about the nuts. Also you could use them in Mexican Wedding cakes. They are so good in those in place of pecans.

    List of Ingredients

    1 egg white
    1 tablespoon water
1 pound pecan or walnut halves
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

    Recipe

Preheat the oven to 225 degrees. Beat the egg white with 1 tablespoon water, and dip the nuts into it. Roll them in the mixed sugar, salt and cinnamon, spread on a cookie sheet and bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Let cool; store in the refrigerator.
