Chocolate Pecan Pie

1-9" unbaked pie shell
3/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 2/3 cups of coarsely chopped pecans
1/2 cup of light corn syrup
1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted & cooled
2 large eggs
Recipe
Preheat the oven to 325°F. Sprinkle the pecans and chocolate chips over the bottom of the pie shell. Mix together the syrup, sugar, and the eggs and stir in the butter. Pour over the pecans and chocolate chips and bake for 1 hour or until the filling is set. Cool the pie on a wire rack and top with whipped cream.
