Mashed Garlic Potatoes

1 1/2 lbs (750 g) russet potatoes, peeled & cubed
1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
6 large garlic loves, peeled & crushed
1/4 cup (60 ml) cereal cream
1/4 cup (60 ml) butterRecipe
1. Place the potatoes in a medium saucepan. Add enough cold water to cover the potatoes. Add the milk & garlic. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover & simmer until the potatoes are very tender; about 25 minutes.
2. Drain the potatoes & garlic, reserving 1/4 cup (60 ml) of the cooking liquid.
3. Return the potatoes & garlic to the same saucepan. Add the cream & butter. Mash until smooth. Thin with the reserved liquid, if desired.
4. Season to taste with salt & pepper. Serves 4
