    I like all kinds of waffles, but when I have "Plain" waffles, I like them crisp. This is the best "Crisp Waffles" recipe I've found, and I use it often.

    List of Ingredients




    4 egg whites
    2 cups water
    2/3 cup non-fat dry milk powder
    1 1/4 cups flour
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 TBSP. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 TBSP. oil

    Recipe



    Heat waffle iron. Beat eggs until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients and mix just until the dry ingredients are moistened. Pour into iron and bake until steaming stops (or, when the "Done" light comes on, or goes off, depending on your Waffle Maker.)

    Since waffle irons differ, use the amount of batter your waffle iron's instructions specify.
