Apple Dapple, clever name for an excellent, old pie recipe.


List of Ingredients




CAKE:
3 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
3 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. chopped apples
1 c. nuts

SAUCE FOR CAKE:
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 stick margarine
1/4 c. evaporated milk

Recipe



CAKE:
Cream together sugar and eggs; add oil and mix well. Combine dry ingredients and add to oil mixture. Add chopped apples, nuts and vanilla, mixing thoroughly. Spoon into a greased and floured tube pan and bake at 350 degrees F. until cake tests done.

SAUCE:
Combine ingredients in saucepan over medium heat. Cook about 5 minutes
