    COOKIE CUTTER HOLIDAY ORNAMENTS

    Source of Recipe

    unknown

    Recipe Introduction

Made from cornstarch, these make good projects for the kids to do! (if they can keep the adults from using all the dough!)

    List of Ingredients

    In a large pot mix:
    1 cup corn starch
    2 cups baking soda

    Add all at once:
    1 1/2 cups water

    Recipe

Stir until smooth. Cover and cook over medium heat stirring occasionally, until mixture is the consistency of slightly dry mashed potatoes. This will take 5 to 6 minutes. Turn out onto a cool surface and cover with a damp cloth. When cool enough to handle, coat hands with corn starch and knead until dough is smooth and pliable. Roll out and cut with holiday cookie cutters. Use a toothpick to make holes for hanging. To dry, place on a baking sheet in a 250ø to 300ø F. oven until hard. Ornaments may be painted after drying. PLEASE: Caution the kids not to eat them (even though there's nothing that would really hurt them).
