    This is a really good and healthy soup.

    List of Ingredients




    2 tbsp butter
    1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained
    8 cups beef broth
    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 small bay leaf
    1 tsp thyme
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 cup bow-tie pasta, uncooked

    Recipe



    Melt butter in a large pan, add sauerkraut. Stir and cook for about 2 minutes to bring out the flavor. Add broth, tomatoes, and seasonings. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and continue simmering for 25 minutes. Discard bay leaf. Add pasta and cook, uncovered, for about 12 more minutes or until pasta is tender. Serves 6 to 8 people.
