    6 tablespoons unsalted butter
    1 cup evaporated milk
    2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    2 cups powdered sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    pinch of salt


    In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the evaporated milk. Remove the pan from the heat and, stirring with a whisk, sift in the cocoa powder, powdered sugar and salt.Return the pan to the heat and continue to cook until the sauce boils, then reduce the heat and stir an additional 2-3 minutes.Finally stir in the vanilla.Keep the sauce warm until ready to serve.
