    List of Ingredients

Cake: 5 eggs, separated 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c sifted cake flour 1/2 tsp vanilla
    1/4 c. cocoa

    Chocolate Sauce:
    4 oz bitter chocolate
    1 c. sugar
    dash salt
    1 T. butter
    1 c. light cream
Melt chocolate in heavy pan. Add sugar, salt and butter and blend
well. Slowly add the cream and cook slowly till it thickens slightly.
    Flavor with vanilla.

    Recipe

    Grease a 101/2 x 151/2 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Line with parchment
paper and grease the paper. Dust with flour.

    Cake:
Beat yolks and sugar together till light and thick. Sift the dry
ingredients together and add to the yolk mixture, stirring. Beat the
egg whites till stiff but not dry. Add a little of the beaten whites
to the yolks to lighten. Then fold remaining whites into yolk mixture.
Pour into prepared pan, smooth out and bake on the bottom rack of oven
at 375 for 15 minutes. When cake is done, turn out on a clean towel
sprinkles with sugar. Remove paper and roll up. ( I roll it up and let
it sit a little before removing the paper) Let cool on rack. When
    cool,
unroll enough to fill with ice cream (Byerlys Mint Chip) that has been softened slightly.
Roll up in saran wrap and then tin foil. Place on cleaned pan and
    freeze.

    Serve with chocolate sauce
