    6 tablespoons unsalted butter
    1 cup evaporated milk
    2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    2 cups powdered sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    pinch of salt

    Recipe



    In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the evaporated milk. Remove the pan from the heat and, stirring with a whisk, sift in the cocoa powder, powdered sugar and salt. Return the pan to the heat and continue to cook until the sauce boils, then reduce the heat and stir an additional 2-3 minutes. Finally stir in the vanilla. Keep the sauce warm until ready to serve.
