    Egg and Sausage Bake--Mom

    List of Ingredients

    1 lb Smoked sausage, chopped or 1 lb bulk sausage, crumbled
    1 C Sliced fresh mushrooms
    6 slices White bread, cut into 1/2" cubes
    6 Eggs
    2 C (8 oz) Shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 C Milk
    1 tsp Dry mustard
    1/4 tsp Celery seeds
    1 tsp Dried whole oregano
    1.Combine sausage and mushrooms in a large skillet; sauté until mushrooms are tender. Drain well.
    2. Place bread cubes in a lightly greased 12 x 8 x 2" baking dish. Top with sausage and mushroom mixture and cheddar cheese.
    3. Combine remaining ingredients; beat well. Pour over cheese; cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
    4. Bake, uncovered at 325° for 40 - 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately.
    6 to 8 servings
