Coconut Macaroons--Mom
List of Ingredients
COCONUT MACAROONS
2 2/3 cups coconut
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 egg whites
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup chopped walnuts
In a bowl combine coconut, sugar, flour and salt. Beat in egg whites and extract. Stir in walnuts or almonds if preferred. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden. Remove from cookie sheet immediately.
