Pecan Pie--Mom
List of Ingredients
1 9-inch Single Crust Pie Shell
3 Eggs
1 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
1/3 cup Melted Butter
1 cup Light Karo Corn Syrup
1 cup Pecans, finely chopped and fresh (store bought are a year old before they make the shelves)
1 tsp Vanilla
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a pan with pie dough and bake it only partial, about 5-7 minutes. Let it cool.
Combine eggs, sugar, salt, melted butter and Karo syrup and beat thoroughly.. Stir in the pecans and vanilla. Fill the shell. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes at 375 degress or until knife inserted int he filling comes out clean. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
