    PRALINE SYRUP FOR BELGIAN WAFFLES

    My adaptation of a french toast recipe from "Here's What's Cooking at Standish Elementary" Standish, Michigan

    Recipe Introduction


    I made this syrup one Sunday morning for brunch and our friends said it was so good that I should bottle it and sell it.

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup butter
    3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup maple syrup (I use Mrs. Butterworth's)
    3/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted

    Recipe



    Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; add brown sugar and maple syrup, stirring until smooth. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in pecans.
