    Amana Pickled Ham

    List of Ingredients


    • 4 cups cubed cooked ham
    • 1 large onion chopped
    • 2 cups water
    • 1 cup vinegar
    • 2 Tbls. sugar
    • 2 Tbls. Pickling Spices


    Instructions


    1. Combine ham, onion, water & vinegar and place in quart jars.

    2. Let sit in refrigerator over night.

    3. Drain juices into a saucepan and add sugar and pickling spices to the liquid.

    4. Bring to boil and simmer 20 minutes. Cool. Pour over ham and onions.

    5. Refrigerate at least 24 hours. Ready to serve.



    Final Comments


    Good appetizer to have around. Keeps well in frig.
