A tasty addition to any relish tray!
List of Ingredients
-1 quart whole kosher dill pickles
-1 3/4 cup sugar
-3/4 cup white vinegar
-1/4 cup cold water
-1 sliced onion (or more to suit taste)
-Stick cinnamon
Recipe
-Drain whole pickles and cut into 3/4-inch chunks.
-Make a syrup of sugar, vinegar and cold water (do not cook).
-Pour over pickles and put back in jar.
-Add onion and cinnamon stick (broken in pieces).
-Let stand in refrigerator 4 or 5 days before using.
-Will keep indefinitely in refrigerator and flavor gets better and better.
