    Hot: Lonestar Fondue

    Source of Recipe

    Recipe Circus: Adapted from

    List of Ingredients

-1 24 ounce round firm loaf of bread (I use sourdough)
    -2T vegetable oil
    -1Tbl. butter
    -11/2C sour cream
    -8 ounces shredded cheddar
-1 8 ounce pkg cream cheese softened
-1C diced ham (I buy the stuff already diced)
    -½ C chopped green onion
-1 can green chilies chopped (4 ounce)
    -1 tsp. worcestershire sauce

    Recipe

-Slice off top of bread and set aside.
-Hollow out the insides with a small paring knife, leaving ½ inch shell.
-Combine oil and butter in large skillet.
-Add bread slices and stir until thoroughly coated.
-Put on cookie sheet and bake for 10 – 15 minutes until golden brown. 350 degrees.
    -Use baked croutons for dipping.

-Combine sour cream, cheese, cream cheese in a large bowl.
-Stir in the ham, green onions, chiles and worcestershire.
    -Put this in the bread.
-Wrap with several layers of foil.
-Put on cookie sheet and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

*My opinion here is to heat up cheese mixture in microwave and then put in the bread.
-You can cut back on the baking time if you do it this way.
