Garlic Parmesan Bread

1-1/2 sticks butter, room temperature
3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
6 Tbsp. mayonnaise
3 large cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. freshly chopped parsley
1/4 tsp. oregano, crumbled between fingers to release flavor
1 loaf French bread, halved lengthwiseRecipe
Combine butter, cheese, mayo, garlic, parsley and oregano and mix well.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Spread garlic butter on bread, wrap each half
in foil. (Can be prepared one day ahead; refrigerate and bring back to room temperature before continuing.)
Place bread on baking sheet, cut side up.
Bake 20 minutes and then removefoil.
Preheat broiler and toast the bread (cut side up) until golden brown, about 2 minutes more.
Slice and serve.
