    Meats: Sausage Gravy

    List of Ingredients

    -1/2 pound lean bulk sausage
    -1/4 cup butter
    -1/3 cup flour
    -31/4 cups milk
    -1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
    -1/2 teaspoon black pepper


    Recipe

    -Brown sausage in a large skillet, cooking until it crumbles: drain well and set aside.

    -Melt butter in skillet; add flour, stirring until smooth.

    -Cook stirring constantly for about 1 minute.

    -Gradually add the milk and bring to a boil over med. to low heat, stirring until thickened.

    -Stir in sausage and seasonings, cook until heated, stirring constantly.

    -Serve over split biscuits .

    *For the biscuits, we use Biscuit Mix.
