Recipe Introduction
Notes from Renee:
They are so good right out of the oven! You can put the leftovers in a ziplock bag and freeze or refrigerate and microwave for later.
My husband like them with both sour cream AND taco sauce on them
List of Ingredients
14 Rhodes frozen Texas Rolls
1-1 1/2 hamburger
Diced cooked potatoes
Chopped onions
Salt and pepper to taste
Recipe
Early in the day I put the frozen rolls on a cookie sheet to raise.
A half hour before suppertime I brown the hamburger, add the diced cooked potatoes, chopped onions and salt and pepper.
Take each Texas roll that has raised and flatten and stretch it out but not so large that you get holes in the dough.
Fill it with a few spoonfuls of hamburger mixture and fold roll over and pinch tightly closed.
Continue filling each flattened roll and place on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 350º for 15-20 minutes (depending on your oven) or until dough is nicely browned on top.
Remove from oven and brush tops of rolls with butter. Dollop with sour cream to serve.
