    Chocolate Caramel Candy Bars

    This tastes like Snickers.............. 4 layers so it is a bit involved but worth the time and effort.


    List of Ingredients


    • BOTTOM LAYER:
    • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
    • 1/4 cup butterscotch chips
    • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
    • FILLING:
    • 1/4 cup margarine
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
    • 1 1/2 cups marshmallow creme
    • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
    • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
    • 1 1/2 cups chopped salted peanuts
    • CARAMEL LAYER:
    • 1 pkg caramels
    • 1/4 cup milk
    • TOP LAYER:
    • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
    • 1/4 cup butterscotch chips
    • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter


    Instructions


    1. Line a 9x13 pan with foil; butter the foil and set aside
    2. Combine the first three ingredients in a small sauce pan ; stir over low heat til melted and smooth.
    3. Spread into prepared pan. Chill til set
    4. For filling, melt the margarine in a sauce pan. Add sugar and milk; bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
    5. Remove from heat and stir in marshmallow creme. peanut butter and vanilla. Add peanuts.
    6. Spread over cooled first layer.
    7. Chill til set.
    8. Combine the caramels and milk in a sauce pan; stir over low heat til melted and smooth.
    9. Spread onto filling.
    10. Chill til set.
    11. In another sauce pan combine the top layer ingredients and stir over low heat til melted and smooth.
    12. Spread onto cooled caramel layer.
    13. Chill 4 hour
    14. Remove from frig and let set 20 minutes before cutting.
    15. Remove from pan and take off foil
    16. Cut into 1" squares.
