Chocolate Caramel Candy Bars

Recipe Introduction
This tastes like Snickers.............. 4 layers so it is a bit involved but worth the time and effort.
List of Ingredients
- BOTTOM LAYER:
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup butterscotch chips
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- FILLING:
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 cups marshmallow creme
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped salted peanuts
- CARAMEL LAYER:
- 1 pkg caramels
- 1/4 cup milk
- TOP LAYER:
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup butterscotch chips
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
Instructions
- Line a 9x13 pan with foil; butter the foil and set aside
- Combine the first three ingredients in a small sauce pan ; stir over low heat til melted and smooth.
- Spread into prepared pan. Chill til set
- For filling, melt the margarine in a sauce pan. Add sugar and milk; bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in marshmallow creme. peanut butter and vanilla. Add peanuts.
- Spread over cooled first layer.
- Chill til set.
- Combine the caramels and milk in a sauce pan; stir over low heat til melted and smooth.
- Spread onto filling.
- Chill til set.
- In another sauce pan combine the top layer ingredients and stir over low heat til melted and smooth.
- Spread onto cooled caramel layer.
- Chill 4 hour
- Remove from frig and let set 20 minutes before cutting.
- Remove from pan and take off foil
- Cut into 1" squares.
