List of Ingredients
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
*1 Tbsp vegetable oil (see note)
1 onion chopped
3 pounds chicken breast (uncooked cut up)
1 can chicken broth (reduced sodium)
2 stalks celery (chopped)
1 bag frozen mixed vegetables
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 tbsp parsley
1 pkt Good Seasons ZESTY Italian drsg
1 garlic clove
1 tsp rosemary
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp sage
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp majoram
1/4 tsp thyme
2 bay leaves (or 1 tbsp of bay leave)
2 tbsp water
Anne's Old fashion Pastry Dumpling strips.
Recipe
Place frozen vegetables in bottom of crockpot.
Then add cut up chicken, sprinkle dry italian dressing packet over chicken, then broth, soup, butter, and all the spices.
Cook on low 6-8 hours.
Save the dumpling strips until 30 minutes before serving. Add dumpling strips.
Break each strip into 3 peices, add until you have desired amount. stir and cook 30 minutes.
Then serve.
*If you aren't in a hurry, you could brown onion in butter and oil until tender, then place over chicken in crock pot.* Otherwise, leave oil out!
