Poultry: Teriyaki Chicken

- 1 fryer chicken cut up
- 2 Tbls. oil
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 Tbls. brown sugar
- 2 Tbls. water
- 1/4 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 2-3 cups cooked rice
Instructions
- In a large skillet brown the chicken pieces in oil on all sides.
- Move chicken pieces to crock pot.
- Combine all other ingredients except the rice and pour over the chicken pieces.
- Cover and cook on high for 1 hour.
- Reduce to low and cook 4-5 more hours.
- Remove chicken and place on a serving platter on top of cooked rice.
- Spoon juices over chicken. You can thicken the juices w/ cornstarch if you wish.
