    List of Ingredients


    • 7 Tbls. margarine
    • 3/4 packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 3 Tbls. cornstarch
    • 1 1/4 cups water
    • 6 cups chopped rhubarb
    • 3-4 drops red food coloring
    • 1 1/4 cups flour
    • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    • 1/4 tsp. salt
    • 1/3 cup milk
    • cinnamon and sugar


    Instructions


    1. In a sauce pan over medium heat; melt 3 Tbls. margarine.
    2. Add brown sugar, 1/4 cup sugar and cornstarch..
    3. Gradually stir in the water and rhubarb; cook and stir til thickened about 5-6 minutes.
    4. Add food color if desired.
    5. Pour into a greased 2 tq. baking dish and set aside.
    6. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt and remaining sugar. Melt remaining margarine and add to the dry ingredients. Stir in milk and mix well.
    7. Drop by Tbls. onto the rhubarb.
    8. Bake @ 350 for 35-40 minutes til fruit bubbles and top is golden brown.
    9. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
    10. Serve warm with ice cream
