Caramel Chip Bars

List of Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 32 caramels
- 1 can (14oz) sweetened milk
- 1 yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup vanilla chips
- 1 heath bar crushed
Instructions
- In a sauce pan, melt butter, caramels and milk. Stir till caramels are melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and cool till ready to use
- In a bowl combine cake mix, oil and eggs. Mix well and stir in chips and the candy bar
- Press 3/4 of the cake mixture into a greased 9 x 13 pan.
- Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Remove and cool for 10 minutes
- Pour caramel mixture over top of pre cooked cake mixture.
- Drop remaining dough by spoonfuls onto the caramel mixture.
- Bake for 25 minutes or till edges are golden.
- DO NOT OVERBAKE
- Cool for 10 minutes, then run a knike along the edges of pan.
- Cool another 40 minutes, then cover and refigerate at least 1 hour or until ready to serve
Final Comments
These bars are best served cold.
