    Caramel Chip Bars

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 32 caramels
    • 1 can (14oz) sweetened milk
    • 1 yellow cake mix
    • 1/2 cup oil
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
    • 1 cup vanilla chips
    • 1 heath bar crushed


    Instructions


    1. In a sauce pan, melt butter, caramels and milk. Stir till caramels are melted and smooth.

    2. Remove from heat and cool till ready to use

    3. In a bowl combine cake mix, oil and eggs. Mix well and stir in chips and the candy bar

    4. Press 3/4 of the cake mixture into a greased 9 x 13 pan.

    5. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Remove and cool for 10 minutes

    6. Pour caramel mixture over top of pre cooked cake mixture.

    7. Drop remaining dough by spoonfuls onto the caramel mixture.

    8. Bake for 25 minutes or till edges are golden.

    9. DO NOT OVERBAKE

    10. Cool for 10 minutes, then run a knike along the edges of pan.

    11. Cool another 40 minutes, then cover and refigerate at least 1 hour or until ready to serve



    Final Comments


    These bars are best served cold.
