Chocolate Dream Cake

List of Ingredients



• 1 chocolate cake mix
  
• 1 (3.4oz) pkg. instant vanilla pudding
  
• 1 cup chocolate syrup*
  
• 1 (12oz) carton cool whip
  
• 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  






Instructions



1. Prepare and bake the cake according to package directions, using a greased 9x13 pan.
   
   
2. Cool.
   
   
3. Meanwhile prepare the pudding according to package directions and pour into a 9x13 glass dish.
   
   
4. Tear the cooled cake into small pieces and gently push down into the pudding.
   
   
5. Drizzle with 3/4 cup of the syrup.
   
   
6. Spread the cool whip on top.
   
   
7. Drizzle with the remaining chocolate syrup.
   
   
8. Sprinkle with the pecans if using.
   
   
9. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

* This is also good using butterscotch or caramel syrup
