    List of Ingredients


    • 2 egg whites
    • 1/4 tsp. salt
    • pinch of cream of tartar
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 1 (12oz) pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • Red and Green Sugar Sprinkles (for Christmas time)


    Instructions


    1. In a small mixing bowl, beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
    2. Gradually add sugar; beat until stiff peaks form.
    3. Gently fold in the chips 1/2 cup at a time.
    4. Drop by level tablespoon onto a greased baking sheets.
    5. Sprinkle lightly with sugar.
    6. Bake @ 300 for 20-25 minutes or until meringues are dry and crisp.
    7. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes.
    8. Remove to wire racks; cool completeley
    9. Store in air tight containers.
    10. * Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies
