- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a heavy sauce pan or double boiler, combin ethe sugar, egg whites, water and cream of tartar.
- With a hand mixer beat on low for 1 minute.
- Continue beating on low until frosting reaches 160 degrees. ( about 8-10 minutes ).
- Pour into a large mixing bowl and add the vanilla.
- Beat on high until frosting forms stiff peaks, about 7 minutes.
