    -1 c shortening
    -3/4 c sugar
    -1 egg
    -2 1/4 c sifted flour
    -1/8 tsp salt
    -1/4 tsp baking powder
    -1 tsp almond extract
    -green vegetable coloring

    Recipe



    -Preheat to 400.
    -Cream shortening; gradually add sugar.
    -Sift dry ingredients.
    -Add unbeaten egg, sifted ingredients, almond extract, and a few drops of the green coloring.
    -Mix well.
    -Fill MIRRO cooky press.
    -Form cookies on ungreased MIRRO aluminum cooky sheets, using the tree plate.
    -Decorate with tiny candies.
    -Baking time: 10 to 12 minutes.
    ***Makes 6 dozen.
