    List of Ingredients




    2 cups brown sugar
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/3 cups milk
    4 tbsps. butter
    2 tsps. vanilla
    1 1/2 cups shredded coconut

    Recipe



    Combine first 4 ingredients.
    Cook.
    Stir constantly till sugar dissolves and mixture starts to boil.
    Cook till mixture forms soft ball in cold water.
    Stir to prevent burning.
    Remove from heat.
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Cool to lukewarm (110°.)
    Do not stir before 110°.
    Beat till mixture loses gloss.
    Add coconut.
    Pour into 8" buttered pan.
    Cut in squares when cooled.
