    Christmas: Turtles in a Pretzel Tree

    List of Ingredients




    -24 small tree shaped pretzels
    -24 caramels, unwrapped
    -3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
    -24 pecan halves; toasted



    Recipe



    -Heat oven to 300.
    -Line and extra large cookie sheet with foil. .
    -Spray foil with cooking spray
    -Arrange pretzels 1" apart on the cookie sheet
    -Top each pretzel with 1 caramel
    -Bake 5-8 minutes, or until the caramels just start to melt.
    -Remove cookie sheet from the oven.
    -Spoon about 1 tsp melted chocolate onto each caramel.
    -Immediately press 1 pecan half onto each caramel pretzel.
    -Place cookie sheet in the freezer intil candy sets; about 10 minutes.
    -Peel candies from foil.
    -Serve or freeze til ready to use.

    * To toast pecan halves spread on a cookie shet and bake @ 350 for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally til golden.
