    French Vanilla Ice Cream

    List of Ingredients


    • 12 egg yolks
    • 2 1/2 cups sugar
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1 qt. half-n-half
    • 2 Tbls. vanilla extract
    • Whole Milk


    Instructions


    1. Blend together all ingredients except for the whole milk.
    2. Put into a sauce pan and cook on low until the mixture coats the spoon; stirring constantly.
    3. Cool for 2-4 hours.
    4. Pour into a 1 gallon freezer cylinder.
    5. Fill with whole milk to the fill line.
    6. Freeze as directed.
    7. If you like a firmer ice cream, freeze for a few hours before serving.
