Beef Brisket
Source of Recipe
Fratz
List of Ingredients
4-5 lb Brisket - trimmed of all fat
1 1/2 tsp Season Salt
1 tsp. Garlic Salt
1 tsp Onion Flakes
1 tsp Pepper
2 tsp Celery Salt
Worchestershire Sauce = enough to make a paste.
Recipe
I usually double or triple the spice recipe...then add enough Worchestershire sauce to make a thin paste.
Rub spice paste into all sides of the meat. Wrap brisket in two layers of heavy duty foil, close tightly.
Cook in oven at 225º for 8 hours. I usually do this overnight. After cooking, I drain off the liquid and save in refrigerator.
Chill meat, then slice into very thin slices, try not to disturb the shape...put back onto two layers of foil, pour the reserved liquid over the slices, and wrap tightly. Place packet on grill to heat when ready to serve. I usually put this packet of meat in a pan before placing on the grill...just in case...don't want to lose any of the liquid.
