Beef Tenderloin in Mushroom Sauce

List of Ingredients
- 2 tsp. oil
- 8 Tbls. margarine
- 4 beef tenderloin steaks 1" thick
- 1 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
- chopped green onions
- 2 Tbls. flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 1/3 cups beef broth
- 1/8 tsp. browning sauce ( optional )
Instructions
- In a skillet heat the oil and 4 Tbls. margarine.
- Cook steaks for 5-6 minutes on each side until done as desired.
- Remove to a serving platter and kep warm.
- To the pan juices add the mushrooms, onions, and remaining margarine. Saute til tender.
- Add flour, salt and pepper . Gradually stir in broth until smooth. Add browning sauce
- Bring to a boil and stir for 2 minutes.
- Spoon over meat; serve right away.
