    Beef Tenderloin in Mushroom Sauce

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 tsp. oil
    • 8 Tbls. margarine
    • 4 beef tenderloin steaks 1" thick
    • 1 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
    • chopped green onions
    • 2 Tbls. flour
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 1 1/3 cups beef broth
    • 1/8 tsp. browning sauce ( optional )


    Instructions


    1. In a skillet heat the oil and 4 Tbls. margarine.

    2. Cook steaks for 5-6 minutes on each side until done as desired.

    3. Remove to a serving platter and kep warm.

    4. To the pan juices add the mushrooms, onions, and remaining margarine. Saute til tender.

    5. Add flour, salt and pepper . Gradually stir in broth until smooth. Add browning sauce

    6. Bring to a boil and stir for 2 minutes.

    7. Spoon over meat; serve right away.
