    Liver and Onions

    My mom


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb of beef liver sliced
    • flour
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • oil
    • at least 5 onions sliced ( the more the better)
    • 3/4-1 cup of water


    Instructions


    1. Wash liver and remove outside membrane if still there.

    2. Mix flour and salt and pepper.

    3. Heat oil in electric fry pan til very hot.

    4. Dredge liver in flour mixture and fry until browned on both sides.

    5. Cover with onions and water.

    6. Simmer until onions are soft and liver is cooked through. ( about 1/2 hour )

    7. Serve with a mountain of mashed poatoes.



    Final Comments


    I suppose to some liver is an aquired taste... but I just remember always liking it...
