    List of Ingredients


    • 1/4 cup flour
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 4 beef cube steaks
    • oil
    • 1 onion sliced
    • 2 cups water
    • 2 Tbls. worcestershire sauce
    • GRAVY:
    • 1/4 cup flour
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 1 1/4 cups beef broth
    • Hot cooked mashed potatoes


    Instructions


    1. Mix together the flour, salt and pepper.
    2. Dredge the steaks in the flour on both sides.
    3. Brown steaks in oil in fry pan.
    4. Layer the steaks and onions in a roasting pan.
    5. Add together the water and worcestershire.
    6. Pour over the steaks.
    7. Cover and bake @ 300 for 2-2 1/2 hours.
    8. Meat will be very tender.
    9. Put meat on a platter and keep warm.
    10. In a small bowl mix the flour, salt and pepper, and broth until smooth.
    11. Stir into the pan juices and bring to a boil for a couple of minutes.
    12. Serve the steak and gray with the mashed potatoes.
