Fajitas Taco Salads

Recipe Introduction

We have a locally owned Mexican restaurant that makes the best Taco Salad with fajitas and this is my attempt to copy their recipe.

List of Ingredients

-1 pkg. fajitas dry mix
-1 lg. green pepper, sliced in strips
-1 lg. onion, sliced in strips
-2 lg. tomatoes, cut in thin wedges
-2 tbsp. salad oil
-1 lb. sirloin or round steak, cut in very thin strips
-4 taco salad shells

Garnish:
Quacamole
Lettuce
Sour Cream
Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
Onions ( optional they do not use this)
Salsa ( optional they do not use this )



Recipe

-In skillet saute pepper and onions in salad oil.

-Add fajita mix - follow directions on back of package.

-Add steak - cook until tender.

-Add tomatoes - simmer.

-Divide evenly between the four prepared taco salad bowls.

-Top with lettuce, quacamole and sour cream.

-Mix together and ENJOY............
