    Chicken n Dumplins

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup chopped onions
    • 1/4 tsp. minced garlic
    • 1/4 cup margarine
    • 1/2 cup flour
    • 2 tsp. sugar
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1 tsp. basil
    • 1/2 tsp pepper
    • 4 cups chicken broth
    • 1 pkg frozen peas
    • 4 cups cooked cubed chicken
    • DUMPLINGS:
    • 2 cups bisquick
    • 2 tsp. basil
    • 2/3 cup milk


    Instructions


    1. In a large sauce pan saute onions and garlic in margarine until tender.

    2. Add flour, sugar, salt, basil, pepper and broth; bring to a boil.

    3. Cook and stir for 1 minutes; reduce heat.

    4. Add peas and cook for 5 minutes; stirring constantlt.

    5. Stir in chicken.

    6. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan.

    7. For dumplings, combine the bisquick and basil in a bowl.

    8. Stir in milk until moistened.

    9. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto the casserole.

    10. Bake uncovered @ 350 for 30 minutes.

    11. Cover and bake 10 more minutes until dumplings are done.
