Chicken n Dumplins

List of Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 tsp. minced garlic
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 pkg frozen peas
- 4 cups cooked cubed chicken
- DUMPLINGS:
- 2 cups bisquick
- 2 tsp. basil
- 2/3 cup milk
Instructions
- In a large sauce pan saute onions and garlic in margarine until tender.
- Add flour, sugar, salt, basil, pepper and broth; bring to a boil.
- Cook and stir for 1 minutes; reduce heat.
- Add peas and cook for 5 minutes; stirring constantlt.
- Stir in chicken.
- Pour into a greased 9x13 pan.
- For dumplings, combine the bisquick and basil in a bowl.
- Stir in milk until moistened.
- Drop by tablespoonfuls onto the casserole.
- Bake uncovered @ 350 for 30 minutes.
- Cover and bake 10 more minutes until dumplings are done.
