Double Crusted Sausage Pizza Squares

- 2 pkg. crescent rolls; refrigerated
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 red pepper diced
- 1 onion diced
- 1/2-3/4 cups freshed sliced mushrooms
- 2-3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbls. water
- 2 Tbls. grated parmesan cheese
- 1-2 Tbls. Pizza seasonings or Italian seasonings
Instructions
- Cook sausage until cooked; drain and set aside.
- Cook onion and pepper and mushrooms in drippings from sausage until tender; drain and set aside.
- Press 1 pkg.crescent rolls into a greased 9x13 pan; going up the sides a little.
- Shred the cheese.
- Spread the sausage onto the bottom crust.
- Top with the peppers, onions and mushrooms
- Sprinkle the cheese on top.
- Roll out the 2nd pkg of crescent rolls to fit on top of cheese.
- SEAL the edges.
- In a small bowl beat the egg, water, parmesan and seasonings together.
- Brush over the top crust.
- Cut a few slits in the top crust.
- Bake @ 400 for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
