Here's a quick and tasty recipe that gets rave revues in the firehouse. Generally we need food that prepares fast because we never know how long it'll be between calls and also food that reheats well so we can finish when we get back. This is one for a great tasting taco salad..the catch is ..no taco seasoning is involved
List of Ingredients
-1 Large Bag of Doritos Chips
-2 lbs. Hamburger
-1 Extra large can of Brooks Hot Chili Beans
-1 Onion
-1 Bag of Kraft Taco Cheese Mix(2 cup size)
-1 Large Bag of Shredded Lettuce (Salad Express...Just Lettuce...works best!)
-1 8 oz. Sour Cream
-1 Bottle of Mullins French Dressing
Recipe
-Cook Hamburger until done, drain off excess grease.
-Mix chili beans in skillet with hamburger and stir continually to keep from burning until hamburger and beans are both heated well.
-Crunch up bag of chips and pour into bottom of 9 x 13 baking pan.
-Pour Hamburger and bean mixture on top of chips.
-Cover with the shredded lettuce and smother with the cheese.
-Place in oven at 350 for about 5 minutes or until cheese begins to melt.
-Serve generous portion and top with sour cream and Mullins French to taste.
**Quick and easy...20 minutes start to finish.
