Onions: Onion Shortcake

List of Ingredients




2 large onions, sliced thin
1/3 cup of butter
1 cup of sour cream
1/2 teaspoon of dill
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup grated cheese(8 ounces)
1 (15 ounce) can of creamed corn
1/3 cup of milk
1 (8 1/2 ounce)box of corn muffin mix
1 egg, slightly beaten
couple of drops of red pepper sauce...

Recipe



Preheat oven to 425.
in a large skillet sauté onions in butter.
Stir in the sour cream, dill weed, salt and half of the grated cheese.
In a separate bowl, combine corn, milk, dry muffin mix, and egg, and hot pepper sauce.
Pour the corn mixture into a buttered 10-inch oven proof dish.
Spread the onion mixture over the top.
Sprinkle remaining grated cheese.
Bake for 30-40 minutes or until cheese is golden brown. Serves 6
