- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 Tbls. cornstarch
- 1 16 oz can dry pitted cherries, drained reserving 1/2 cup of the syrup
- 1/4 cup brandy
Instructions
- Mix syrup and cornstarch in a medium pan.
- Stir and cook until bubbly.
- Add the cherries and heat through.
- Heat the brandy in a small sauce pan until it almost simmers.
- Carefully pour into a large ladle and ignite using a long match.
- Pour over the cherry mixture.
- Serve immediately over vanilla ice cream.
- Serves 6-8
