    1 lb butter at room temperature
    2 cups sugar
    6 eggs
    4 cups all purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbls. vanilla
    1 qt. chopped pecans
    1/2 lb chopped candied cherrries
    1/2 lb chopped candied pinapple

    Recipe



    Cream the butter and sugar.
    Add the eggs one at a time, beating well.
    Add 3 cups of flour gradually with baking powder and salt, then vanilla.
    Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of flour over the the fruit and nuts mixture.
    Coat well and add to the cake batter and mix well.
    Pour into a well greased tube cake pan and bake 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees.
