    CAKES: Christmas Eve Coffee Cake

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 cup butter
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 tsp vanilla
    3 large eggs
    2 cups flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 cup sour cream

    Topping:
    1 1/4 cups brown sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 cup chopped nuts
    2 Tbls. butter; melted

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Grease and flour a 10" tube or bundt pan.
    Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add the vanilla and eggs; mix well.
    In a seperate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda and powder & salt.
    Add flour mixture to the butter mixture alternately with the sour cream, stirring after each addition.
    In a small bowl, combine the topping ingredients, mix well.
    Spread 1/2 of the batter into the pan and sprinkle with half the topping mixture.
    Repeat with remaining batter and topping.
    Bake for 35-40 minutes.
    Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out and cool completely.
    Serve topping side up!
