Chocolate-Covered Cherry Cookies

List of Ingredients
42 maraschino cherries
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 6 oz pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
Recipe
Drain cherries and reserve juice. Set aside.
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla, beating well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, beating well.
Shape into 1" balls and place on a greased or parchment lined cookie sheet.
Make an indentation in the center of each cookie with your thumb.
Place a cherry in each indentation.
In a small sauce pan,melt the chips and condensed milk.
Stir in 4 tsp. cherry juice.
Spoon 1 tsp of chocolate mixtureover the cookies, spreading over the cherry.
Bake @ 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Makes 42 cookies.
