    Betty Crocker Cookbook, I think

    Recipe Introduction

This has to be one of the best recipes I've found for sweet and sour meatballs, and its simple too.

    List of Ingredients

    Meatballs

    1 lb. hamburger
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs or herb stuffing
    2 Tbsp. finely chopped onions
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 egg

    Sweet and Sour Sauce

    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 large can pineapple chunks
    1/3 cup vinegar
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 small green pepper, coarsely chopped

    Recipe

    To make the Meatballs:
Mix ingredients together. Shape into 20 1-1/2 inch balls. Bake in an ungreased oblong pan (13x9x2) in a 400'F oven until light brown, 20-25 minutes or cook over medium heat in frying pan, turning occasionally, until
    brown, about 20 minutes.

    To make the Sauce:
Mix brown sugar and cornstarch in skillet. Stir in pineapple (with juice), vinegar, soy sauce. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.

Add the meatballs. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes. Stir in green pepper. Cover, simmer until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes.

    Serve over rice.
