STRAWBERRY CHAMPAGNE PUNCH

*The original recipe does not call for soda, but I had to resort to stretching the punch with it because the gals got too silly!
List of Ingredients
1 pint fresh strawberries
2 C White Zinfandel wine
1/2 C sugar
1 6 oz. can of pineapple frozen concentrate - do not dilute - thawed
1 lemon
1 chilled bottle of Champagne
1 liter of lemon lime soda
Recipe
Wash & hull strawberries, and chop coarsely
Combine wine, sugar, pineapple juice conc.,
Grate rind of one lemon, squeeze juice from lemon & add to wine mixture along with empty lemon shell.
Cover & refrigerate overnight.
Next day.......
Strain & discard fruits (optional, I use the chopped up strawberries in my punch)
Pour over ice in individual glasses or put into a punch bowl with champagne & soda & serve over ice.
